Everything You Need to Know About Making Videos With the iPhone 15

Even if you're a professional videographer, the chances are that you utilize your phone from time to time. And if you're not a pro, your phone can be a valuable tool for anything from behind-the-scenes footage to part of your shoot. So, here is everything you need to know about making videos with the iPhone 15.

I shoot more photos and videos with my iPhone than any of my cameras. There — I said it. It has been trending that way for years and I have been fighting against it, but I knew it was always going to end up this way. To be fair, my professional work is still almost entirely done with dedicated cameras, but daily life is dominated by my iPhone.

So, why is that? Well, accessibility is certainly the driving force as it's always on my person. But, that's been the case with phones for decades at this point, so that cannot be the reason alone. The difference-maker for me is the quality of videos and photos from my iPhone now being high enough that the lack of flexibility with settings, lenses, and control is offset by not having to carry anything extra. The quality is so high, in fact, that many videographers and photographers use their iPhones for behind-the-scenes footage or even for wider shots of their main feature.

Therefore, whether you use your phone on shoots or not, it's worth having the information in your back pocket.
