Manarola Cinque Terre

Manarola (Cinque Terre) is a picturesque village with pastel-coloured houses, small alleyways and a small harbour for fishing boats.
In the narrow valley of Manarola, the locals have skilfully used every metre to place the houses on top of and next to each other in crazy, interlocking patterns.
Stairs lead up the slopes to the left and right of the main road. It is no coincidence that Manarola has long been a painters' village.

Our time spent here was extremely brief. But seeing this picture brings fond memories to mind and the desire to return someday with more time to explore the Cinque Terra!

I have that wish too. To return to Manarola once again. I really enjoyed it there too. Many thanks, Frank, for your kind comment. Greetings Herbert

I simply like it! All of it. Thanks Herbert. ( My wife just spotted this one and said she wants to go there, so it must be a good photo, hey!)

Hello Raymond, thank you very much for your nice comment. I thank your wife for the good "taste" she showed in discovering my picture. Have a nice Sunday. Yours sincerely, Herbert
