Edward, a little creepy ... looks like Annabelle ... guess you were successful ... although not all spell are bad maybe it's a love spell ... I gotta go that's really creepy ;-)

The rings were intended to suggest a romantic spell. It was not my intent to create something creepy, but another person locally responded with the same label, so... I think I like that. Besides, we all need a little variety from the ordinary routine of our creative endeavors.

Sorry, I did say a little, but I forgot to mention the doll like like "Anabelle". I didn't even notice the rings thanks for pointing them out.

I have to admit that I had to do a Google search on Anabelle, the doll. Interesting story, but I can honestly say that it was of no inspiration in making my picture. In fact, you'd never believe how this picture came about. A fellow photography friend was experimenting with making a photo of smoke. For what purpose I don't remember. But I took it as a challenge as well and began by simply lighting a candle in a jar, which accomplished nothing. So I proceeded to close the lid on the jar which allowed smoke to accumulate before opening, and then got better at making smoke pictures. But then I thought I needed to add another element to the picture. And that's when I added the doll. But I couldn't stop there so I added the tea cup, and finally the rings as I came to imagine a spell with romantic intentions. So it was a picture the total opposite of being pre-visualized. It just evolved piece by piece until it felt complete. I will say though that the images I found of Anabelle looked a lot creepier than my doll. I thought my girl looked like the type you'd bring home to introduce to mom and dad. Maybe it's been way to long since I've had to do that. Anyway, I read the Harry Potter series during the first year of the pandemic and that's kind of where my interest in fantasy stories was hatched. I doubt that I'd have ever thought of this picture before then.
