Being from Canada I don't get to see Cactus' very often. My wife thought it was a little funny that I made such a big deal about finding them. I get it. In Canada I see tourists taking pictures of Ravens and Groundhogs... things we see all the time.
But I really like the cactus and was very happy to find one while I was looking for compositions at Cyclops arch.
I chose to make the milky way blurry, I like the look and think it fits have a sharp pointy cactus and soft stars.
Taken at blue hour and blended the later milky way shot. I did a little work in photoshop to brighten up the cactus and that's about all
