Yellow Jacket in Morning Dew

A deadly yellow hornet, covered in the morning dew is perched on a leaf, calmly waking up from its sleep from the night before (or whatever insects do at night). As I approached it,I was surprised it hadn't move a muscle. Even though I was inches (maybe less) away from it to take this picture, it didn't move at all. Usually considered a pest and known for its painful sting, the yellow jacket sat calmly and patiently as I took its portrait. It was incredible to experience this magnificent insect.
